Jumbo King is the largest size offering in the Waterloo line of Bill Collings and a modern day tribute to jumbo-sized guitars of the early 1940s. Originally manufactured by Regal for the mail-order enterprise Montgomery Ward, this slope-shoulder body size was designed to provide performers of the era with enough volume and power for professional radio work. The WL-JK accomplishes this and more by employing a full five-inch body depth and a slightly narrow waist to enhance both the bass and treble response. It has vintage inspired x-bracing and prominent v-shaped neck with fully adjustable truss rod. The top is solid spruce, back and sides are made of solid mahogany. The solid mahogany neck has rosewood fingerboard with 647,8mm (25,5") scale length and medium sized 18% nickel-silver frets. The bridge has been made of ebony with bone drop-in saddle, strings spacing is 60mm (2 3/8"). The bone nut is 44,45mm (1 3/4") wide. The Golden Age Restoration tuners have ebony buttons. The body finish is semi-gloss nitrocellulose lacquered in Vintage-style sunburst color. Hard case is included.
