We bought this used Fender Telecaster '52 Reissue model from its first owner, who bought it in 2001. The slightly lighter Fender Flash Coat Blonde finished swamp ash body has a maple neck with "C"-shaped profile and comfortably rolled edges. The finish was removed from the back of the neck. There are some apparent marks of use (the lack of finish) at the neck joint and on the back edge of the body. The 21 original frets were changed to stainless steel frets. There is a 1.65" (42 mm) wide bone nut on the neck. Scale length: 25.5" (648 mm). The original 3-Saddle American Vintage Strings-Through-Body Tele bridge with Brass Saddles was changed to a Babicz Full Contact Telecaster chrome bridge. There is a 1-ply, 5 hole black pickguard on the top of the body. Instead of the original pickups a Bare Knuckle Brown Sugar set was built in. The traditional 3-way switch was changed to a 4-way switch to make possible 4 modes of selection between pickups. "Barrel" switch tip and knurled chrome domed control knobs are over the chrome control plate. The headstock was mounted with Gotoh vintage height adjustable tuners. The guitar has any case.
