Acoustic Guitar Bridges
The bridge part of the acoustic guitars usually made of wood, the most used types are rosewood and ebony and glued on the top of body directly. The acoustic guitar bridge has a slot for the saddle is made of bone or composite graphite or plastic on the cheaper guitars. It is not able to adjust the saddle so easy as like on the electric guitars bridge has individual saddles for each string with adjustable intonation screws. That's why the saddle of the acoustic guitar is not parallel with the bridge front and the saddle is also compensated to get the most precise intonation and clear octave. Most of the steel string acoustic guitars has bridge pins to fix the string's ball end goes thru the bridge and top plate. The classic guitar has different construction bridge and the strings fixed directly on the bridge. Also some Arched top jazz guitars and gypsy jazz guitars has the bridge made of wood and sometimes mixed with Tune-o-matic bridges.
