1968 Martin D12-35 Brazilian Rosewood-Spruce guitar

1968 Martin D12-35 Brazilian Rosewood-Spruce guitar

1968 Martin D12-35 acoustic guitar with CITES document included. Martin stopped using this delicate material on their guitars in 1969 and the production was since 1965 for 35 series, any 12 strings D-35 from the sixties is a rare find. This is a crack-free Vintage collectible piece except 2 small cracks repaired professionally on top and one small crack about 8cm long on back. The repair was made a long time ago by unknown luthier but he did absolutely professional job. The guitar has a classic big and warm D12-35 tone with very detailed overall sound, all strings are able to hear separately, it has not a "washed" sound as like most of 12 strings guitars. The 1968 made Martin D12-35 has three-piece solid rosewood back and sides, solid spruce top. It has not any modification on the guitar except LR Baggs active PU was added that works perfect. The neck is one-piece mahogany with unique slotted headstock with original mechanics. The neck has not adjustable truss rod, Martin used only a stabilizer rod inside the neck. The frets are original in very good condition. As we know this guitar was used in studio works for a long time. We can't say the wether hard case is original or not, but it seems to be at the same age as the guitar. This, in 1968 made Martin D12-35 is a real collectible piece which is hard to find in such an original and excellent condition.
