After several years in development and numerous prototype iterations, Collings introduced an I-35 like you have never experienced before - the new I-35 LC Vintage. Drawing inspiration from the best instruments of the 1960s, newest offering in the I-35 lineup provides an exceptionally loose and organic feel, achieved through a ground up reworking of everything from its laminate and center block recipes to its neck construction. Custom Throbak pickups and Bumblebee capacitors bring its open, acoustic response to life, expanding its versatility and proving that, although it looks every bit the part of a time-tested instrument, its appeal is more than just skin deep. The Collings I35LC has laminate maple body with a maple top and center block for a tonal response that is complex and quick. The quality is incredible high-end level, both cosmetically and tonality. The one piece Honduran mahogany neck has rosewood fingerboard with Mother of pearl dot inlays. The neck scale length is 24 7/8" (631,8mm) and the bone nut width is 1 11/16" (42,8mm). The 12" Fingerboard radius is very comfortable and the neck has 22 fret. The Japan made nickel Gotoh tuners with vintage-style buttons has 1:18 ratio.
