This Tom Anderson Hollow Cobra has quilted maple top on mahogany hollow body. Tom Anderson Cobra is one of the only guitars on Earth that is a perfect blend between the formidable sonic muscle of a short scale guitar and the musicality of a long-scale guitar. Anderson Cobra is a short-scale guitar. A shorter, 24 3/4-inch scale length means less string tension, fatter mids, and greater easement of bending and reaching. Cobra has aggressive midrange by virtue of a mahogany foundation. The Cobra body is attentively hand-selected pure mahogany, crowned by a beautiful figured quilted maple. The neck is a sleek and fast mahogany back, embraced by a premiere rosewood fingerboard. For many, many players, Cobra is the perfect, "I can do it all, and more" guitar. The body finish is Burnished Orange Burst with binding. The headstock finish is matched to body color. The neck back shape is Happy Medium and the frets is the medium Anderson exclusive stainless steel made. This Hollow Cobra has fixed bridge and the strings go thru the body. All hardware and locking tuners has chrome finish. The neck pickup is the Anderson HF1 humbucker, in the bridge position is an HF3 humbucker pickup. The electronics has 5-Way switch pickup selector and VA Boost for 2 pickups. VA Booster gives fatter middles and more bass, it is very useful with distortions and overdrives, you can cut thru the stage easily with this Cobra. If the pickup selector in the middle position (both pickups is on) then it is able to split the coils of both pickups by the push-pull Tone pot.
