2002 Gibson M6 Mandolin guitars

2002 Gibson M6 Mandolin guitars

This Gibson M6 mandolin guitar didn't hit the target so Gibson stopped the production just in 2 years after the first release. The concept of a mandolin body tuned like a high pitched guitar (all six strings) didn't exactly catch fire in the Nashville circuit or any Mandolin players. But it is an excellent instrument for a guitarist who doesn't want to learn play traditional mandolin but wants the nearest sound of this folk. The body is an A-style with a short-scale guitar neck that makes every guitarist an instant multi-instrumentalist. The M-6 is tuned an octave higher than a standard guitar, so that the high E-string matches the highest open string on a mandolin. Guitarists can get the tone of a mandolin without having to adapt to a different tuning. The top is solid spruce, the back and sides are maple. This mandolin guitar has an unique translucent green finish. The K&K Pure mandolin type pickup system doesn't need any battery or modification on the instrument. This exceptional Gibson M6 comes with original soft foamed hard case. Please ask quote for shipping Worldwide.
