John McEuen enjoys inspiring others to play music and he encouraged the Deering Banjo Company to release a John McEuen Deering Goodtime Two banjo that he could promote and inspire others to pick up the banjo. The John McEuen Goodtime Two banjo is an all maple bluegrass banjo with a resonator. The neck is hard rock maple, the rim is violin grade 3 ply maple for a good bluegrass tone and it only weighs about 6 pounds.
