Furch GNc2-SW Grand Nylon acoustic guitar with Sitka spruce top. The Furch Grand Nylon series is the recent development by Furch in 2015. The GNc2-SW is a high quality crossover guitar made for steel strings guitar players who like to get nylon strings sounding. The GNc2-SW has the same nut width (45mm) and scale length (650mm) and fingerboard radius like Furch steel strings guitars. It has special designed cutaway body shape and special engineered bracing and top thickness to give the best sounding performance as a nylon strings crossover acoustic guitar. The GNc2-SW has solid Sitka spruce top (instead of cedar is standard on basic model), solid black walnut back and sides. The fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony. The neck is made of one piece African mahogany. It has Furch Classical Nickel tuners on the slotted headstock. It has open-pore finish on body (same as on Blue series of Furch steel strings guitars). Furch GNc2-SW comes with quality gigbag. Serial number is 113567.

Furch Guitars Feature Antibacterial Neck Treatment

The neck is, by nature, one of the most handled areas of any guitar. While playing, a number of microorganisms arise, which can have a negative impact on the player's health. Furch has therefore decided to supplement their current full and open pore neck finishes with a certified antibacterial varnish containing silver nanoparticles. These bind to the proteins of microorganisms, reliably destroying them. However, the varnish does not contain any dangerous chemical substances, making it anti-allergenic and extra gentle on the skin.
In addition to protecting the player’s health, the composition of the new antibacterial varnish also has a positive effect on playing comfort. The satin finish is even more smooth which reduces friction at the hand while moving along the neck of the guitar, allowing for faster and more accurate playing.

This new antibacterial varnish is standard on all Furch acoustic guitars with serial number 95787 and higher. These instruments are already available at Furch authorized dealers.
