The special feature of the LR Baggs M80 is based on the special humbucker suspension developed by LR Baggs, with which the pickup not only senses the magnetic signal of the strings, but also the vibrations of the body. The M80 is able to pick up vibrations of the guitar top from 40Hz (this frequency was 700Hz in its predecessor the M1), thus giving the amplified signal an even fuller, lively sound. A further development compared to the M1 is that the pickup can be switched between active and passive modes (passive mode does not require batteries). The M80 is very easy to install.
